Arkansas and Missouri Railroad

The Arkansas and Missouri Railroad is a North American Class 2 railroad company based in Springdale, Arkansas . The company has a fleet of 25 ALCO locomotives .

The route runs from Monett (Missouri) to Fort Smith (Arkansas) with a branch route from Bentonville Junction to Bentonville , ( Arkansas) with a total length of 224 km.

Formerly part of the Central Division of the St. Louis - San Francisco Railway , investors around JAHanold took over the previous sixth subdivision of the Springfield Division of the Burlington Northern Railroad on September 1, 1986 and founded the Arkansas and Missouri Railroad as an independent company.

The most important transport goods are grain, paper, sand, plastics, scrap, wood, aluminum and bauxite.
