Armanas Abramavičius

Armanas Abramavičius (born November 27, 1962 in Zarasai , Lithuanian SSR ) is a Lithuanian criminal lawyer , judge of the Supreme Court of Lithuania , former constitutional judge and administrative lawyer (presidential advisor).

Life

Armanas Abramavičius graduated from Vilnius University with a degree in law in 1985 and taught criminal law as an assistant at the Department of Criminal Law. In 1991 he received his doctorate from Lomonosov University in Moscow (Russia). Later he was Vice Dean of the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University. Now he is a lecturer at the chair for criminal justice and teaches criminal law.

From 1991 to 1992 he was an advisor to the Seimas Land Protection Commission , in 1993 a consultant to the Seima's legal department, from 1993 to 1995 assistant to the Lithuanian Minister of Justice , from 1995 to 1997 advisor to the President of Lithuania and from 1997 to 2000 advisor to the presidential advisor, from 2000 until 2002 presidential advisor and head of the legal department, from March 2002 to March 14, 2011 judge of the Lithuanian Constitutional Court (Lietuvos Respublikos Konstitucinis Teismas) . Since April 2011 he has been a judge at the Supreme Court of Lithuania .
