The Army of the Revolutionaries ( Arabic جيش الثوار Jaish ath-Thuwwar , DMG Ǧaiš aṯ-Ṯuwwār ) is an amalgamation of severalgroups organizedin the Free Syrian Army , including the Kurdish units Jabhat al-Akrād and Katāʾib Shams asch-Schimāl , who arefightingin the civil war in Syria . It was founded in May 2015 and operates primarily in northern Syria . One of their commanders is Ramy al-Agha (2018).

In October 2015 it formed itself with the Kurdish People's Defense Units (YPG) and the Assyrian - Aramaic Military Council of the Syriacs (MFS), the militia of the Sunni Shammar tribe Quwwat as-Sanadid and other units to form the Syrian Democratic Forces .
