Armen Ohanjan ( Armenian Արմեն Օհանյան ; born October 1, 1967 in Uchtadzor , Hadrut Province ) is an Armenian politician of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic .

Life

In 1984 he finished his school education. In 1984 and 1985 he studied at the technical vocational school N 7 in Yerevan and then served in the Soviet army until 1987. From 1987 to 1989 he worked in the “Drushba” state farm as a farm worker and as a dairy laboratory technician.

In 1989 he joined the Internal Affairs Department in Hadrut as a sergeant. From 1992 to 1995 Ohanjan served in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic Defense Army as a company commander and took part in the war. Armen Ohanjan took part in the Ukhtadzor Oblast Defense Camp.

After his release from compulsory military service, he founded “Ashotik GmbH” in 1995. In 2002 he graduated from the “Economics and Administration” department at the Grigor Narekatsi University in Abovjan . Ohanjan has been a partner and executive director of "Ashotik GmbH" since 2002.

Armen Ohanjan is married and has 4 children.

In 1997 and 2000 Ohanjan was elected chairman of the Uchtadzor municipality. In the elections for the fourth National Assembly of the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic. on June 19, 2005 he was elected as a member of parliament by a majority system in the 12th constituency. He was a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Production Infrastructure of the National Council.

In the elections for the fifth National Assembly on May 23, 2010, Armen Ohanjan was elected as a member of the “Azat Hajreniq” party list according to the majority system. Ohanjan is a member of the Standing Committee on Production and Production Infrastructure. He is a member of the Free Homeland party (Armenian "Azat Hajreniq") and the "Heimat" faction.
