Armin Foxius

Armin Foxius (born March 31, 1949 in Cologne ) is a German teacher and writer.

Life

Armin Foxius was born in Cologne in 1949 as the son of the journalist Armand Foxius from Malmedy (now East Belgium). In 1968 he passed the Abitur at the St. Michael-Gymnasium in Bad Münstereifel and began studying Slavic and Philosophy in Cologne and later studying to become a teacher. From 1979 to 2014 he was a teacher at the Ursula Kuhr School in the north of Cologne.

Foxius has been a writer since 1962. He wrote two Cologne musicals for children, texts on local and regional history, poems, six so-called Cologne reading books , 48 poems on Rhine poetry in Father Rhine. Oh, dude in standard German and in the Cologne dialect and under the title I was called Kevin. So what! 28 short stories in Rhenish youth language. In 2011 and 2013 Foxius published a selection of the journalistic works of his father Armand Foxius in two volumes. Since 2015 Armin Foxius has been writing monthly for the Kölsch Verzällche section in the Kölnische Rundschau .
