Armin Strohmeyr

Armin Strohmeyr (born May 23, 1966 in Augsburg ) is a German writer.

Life

Armin Strohmeyr grew up in Königsbrunn . He attended high schools in Königsbrunn and Augsburg. After high school and community service, he studied modern German literature, French literature and musicology at the University of Augsburg from 1987 to 1992 . After completing his studies (Magister Artium) he was editor of the yearbook “Schwäbischer Hauskalender” in Augsburg from 1993 to 1997. In 1997 he received his doctorate with a thesis on Klaus Mann Dr. phil. at the University of Augsburg with Helmut Koopmann . He has been a freelance writer since 1998 and lives in Berlin. In addition to numerous book publications, he is the author of numerous radio features for BR, SWR, HR, NDR, RBB, RB. He also wrote pieces (shadow plays) for puppet theater and worked as an editor. He is a member of VS Berlin.
