action

The Mars has long been settled and politically are Earth and Mars just before a pact of friendship and interplanetary cooperation.

During this time, several androids , all of them female , are destroyed on Mars , and so the newly arrived policeman Ross Sylibus and his young partner Naomi Armitage go on the trail of the murderer.

During their investigation, they uncover a conspiracy in which Armitage and her father are also involved. The cooperation between Earth and Mars will only come about if the Mars government can get rid of its too human and thus ethically unsustainable androids of the third generation.

In the course of the plot, Ross changes his initially hostile attitude towards the androids, not least because he himself has several mechanical spare parts in his body due to several injuries and it turns out that Armitage is also a third . Their only way to uncover the truth about the state-involved murders is illegality, so that in the end they can no longer count on the help of their colleagues and stand against the system on their own to save Armitage.
