Arm traction device

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The arm traction device (AKZ) is primarily an exercise device for athletes in various sports . In competitive sports, it is also used as a measuring device . It is mostly used by cross-country skiers , biathletes , swimmers , discus throwers, the design of the device is adapted to the specific sport.

As an exercise machine, the AKZ is used for endurance training of the muscle groups in the arm, shoulder, back and stomach.

The structure

Two drawstrings (left and right for the arms) unwind and unwind on drums during the exercise movement. A mechanism translates the entered force to the power sink and also manages the winding in the retraction movement. The operating principle of the power sink can be represented magnetically (electrodynamically braking) or aerodynamically through air turbulence. Friction brakes are not known at this point.

The device (for skiers ) is mounted on the wall or with hooks at a suitable height in a wall bars mounted.
