An arm knife is a stabbing weapon ( knife , dagger and the like) that is carried in a sheath attached to the arm . This form of wearing is mainly known in North Africa : the Tuareg as a Telek dagger , the Nubian as a Nubian arm dagger and the ancient Egyptians . The Tuareg and the Nubians still use the traditional way of carrying in part today.
