Arne Henkes

Arne Henkes (* 1978 ) is a German journalist and Chief Content Officer of the Ströer Content Group.

Arne Henkes studied German and sports at the TU Darmstadt and was one of the first to graduate as an online editor at the Cologne University of Applied Sciences . Since 2005 he has worked as a journalist for the news portal t-online.de in various functions (editor in the field of sports & moving images, senior expert) .

After the sale of t-online.de to the marketer Ströer Media and the associated realignment of the portal, Henkes was appointed Director Content in 2017. In this role he set up the new t-online.de newsroom and the special-interest portals (including giga.de, kino.de, desired.de) in Berlin and was acting editor-in-chief until Florian Harms started working responsible for the portal. From November 2018 to April 2019 he followed Gesa Mayr as editor-in-chief for watson on an interim basis . In April, Kinga Rustler took over the position of editor-in-chief of watson.

In October 2019 Arne Henkes was appointed Chief Content Officer of the Ströer Content Group.
