Arne Pautsch

Arne Pautsch (* 1974 ) is a German lawyer .

Life

He studied law at the University of Göttingen (1995–2000) (first and second state examination in Lower Saxony (2000 and 2005)). After obtaining his doctorate in Göttingen (2003), he worked in the university administration (Universities of Göttingen and Bayreuth ) with a focus on university development and university law.

From 2006 to 2011 Pautsch worked in the local government as the full-time mayor of the Lower Saxon municipality of Sickte .

From 2011 to 2014 he held a professorship for public law, especially administrative law, at the Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences . Since September 2014 he has been teaching as a professor for public law and local science at the University of Ludwigsburg ; there at the same time director of the Institute for Citizen Participation and Direct Democracy and dean of Faculty I - Management and Law (since September 1, 2016).

His main research interests are general administrative law (in particular administrative procedural law and administrative organization law), special administrative law (in particular municipal law, commercial administrative law, public building law, environmental and planning law, as well as university and scientific law), state and constitutional law (in particular federal authority system, participation in a multi-level system , Right to vote and direct democracy) and administrative sciences (references between law and administrative sciences, in particular legal issues of administrative modernization, communal and functional self-administration).
