Arno Gottschalk (born June 25, 1956 in Korbach ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship since 2011.

biography

Family, education and work

Gottschalk finished his school attendance in 1976 with the Abitur. He then studied economics at the University of Marburg and at the University of Bremen and graduated in 1982 with a degree in economics . After various project activities, he has been with the Bremen consumer center since 1993 ; there he set up and managed the financial services division.

He is married; has a daughter and lives in Bremen - Eastern suburb .

politics

Gottschalk has been a member of the SPD in the Bremen local association Östliche Vorstadt since 2007 . Since 2007 he has been the deputy for social affairs, youth, senior citizens and the integration of foreigners.

From 2007 to 2011 he was a member of the Deputation for Social Affairs, Youth, Senior Citizens and Foreigners Integration. Since June 8, 2011, he has been a member of the Bremen Parliament from the 18th electoral term. He was elected to the citizenry by voting. He is environmental and energy policy spokesman as well as a member of the executive board of the SPD parliamentary group and the state executive.

He is represented in the state and municipal deputation for the environment, construction, transport, urban development and energy, in the budget and finance committee (city), in the auditing committee (state and city) and in the operating committee “Umweltbetrieb Bremen”.
