The voting slip for the state election in Bremen 2011 in the Bremen electoral area: an A4 booklet with 20 pages used.

The 18th legislative period of the citizens of Bremen ran from June 8, 2011 to June 7, 2015.

The members of the citizenship were determined by the election on May 22, 2011 . At the same time, the elections for the city council in Bremerhaven and for the district councils in Bremen took place.

Basics

According to § 5 of the Bremen Election Act, the citizenship (Landtag) consisted of 83 members, 68 of them from the Bremen area and 15 from the Bremerhaven area. The MPs from the Bremen electoral area were usually also members of the city's citizenship. Because citizens of the European Union were also entitled to vote in local elections , city citizenship and the city of Bremen part of the state parliament could be occupied differently, as was the case in the 16th and 17th electoral periods.
