Silvia Neumeyer
Silvia Maria Neumeyer (born June 14, 1962 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Bremen Parliament .

Family, education and work
After graduating from secondary school , Neumeyer completed training as a dental assistant from 1977 to 1980. From 1980 to 1989 she worked in an orthodontic practice.
She is divorced, has two children and lives in Bremen - Vegesack .
politics
Neumeyer was a member of the Junge Union and there from 1983 to 1986 district treasurer , from 1986 to 1990 assessor in the state association, from 1990 to 1992 state treasurer and from 1992 to 1994 deputy state chairwoman . Within the CDU, which she joined in 1983, she was from 1984 to 1986 in the CDU district association of Vegesack. She is currently active in several offices within the Bremen CDU and its organizations. From 2002 to 2006 she was district chairwoman of the Frauen Union Bremen-Nord. In addition, she has been chairwoman of the Vegesack district of the CDU since 2004, deputy district chairwoman in Bremen-Nord since 2004 and an assessor in the CDU state executive since 2004.
In terms of local politics, she was a member of Vegesack's advisory board from 1999 to 2007 . From 2003 to 2007 she was a member of the Deputation for Home Affairs.
Neumeyer has been a member of the Bremen Parliament since the 2007 general election. Since November 2012 she has been the deputy chairwoman of the CDU parliamentary group.
She is spokeswoman for the CDU parliamentary group for building and animal welfare policy. She is the chair of the Deputation for Climate, Environment, Agriculture and Animal Welfare. It is represented in the state and municipal deputation for the interior and sport and the municipal deputation for the environment, construction, transport, urban development and energy.

She is the chair of the Friends of the Prevention Council Bremen-North .
