Jörg Kastendiek (born September 18, 1964 in Bremen ; † May 13, 2019 there ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and construction manager . From 1991 to 2005 and again from 2007 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship . From 2005 to 2007 he was Senator for Economy, Labor and Ports and Senator for Culture in the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen .

education and profession

Kastendiek attended a junior high school, was from 1980 to 1983 for concrete workers trained and received in 1984 at a technical college , the college entrance . From 1984 to 1987 he studied civil engineering at the University of Bremen and graduated as a graduate engineer (FH) . From 1987 to 2003 he worked as a calculator and most recently head of the calculation. Since 2007 he has been an authorized signatory on the management of Kamü Bau GmbH , a company of the Zech Group . In October 2017, he was proposed as a member of the board of Gewosie Wohnungsbaugenossenschaft Bremen-Nord eG , an activity that he should have taken on "by May 1st" 2018 at the latest.

Political party

Kastendiek joined the Junge Union in 1980 and later the CDU. From 1985 to 1987 he was chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS). From 1988 to 1992 he was deputy state chairman of the Junge Union Bremen. From 1996 to 2004 he was chairman of the CDU city district association Burglesum. From 1996 he was a member of the state board of the Bremen CDU and from 2008 deputy state chairman of the CDU in Bremen. From October 2009 to the beginning of 2013 he was chairman of the CDU district association Bremen-Nord. From November 2012 he was regional chairman of the CDU Bremen as the successor to Rita Mohr-Lüllmann and a member of the federal executive committee of the CDU.

Member of Parliament and Senator

Kastendiek has been a member of the Bremen citizenship for more than 25 years since 1991 - with a brief interruption as a senator. He was a member of Bremen's citizenship from 1991 to 2005. He was spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group for ports, environment and culture and from July 2003 to May 2005 chairman of the CDU parliamentary group. During the 16th electoral period of Bremen's citizenship , he replaced Peter Gloystein (CDU), who had resigned, as Senator for Economics and Ports and for Culture in the Böhrnsen I Senate in May 2005 . In the state election in Bremen in 2007 , he moved back into the state, but was no longer a member of the Böhrnsen II Senate . In the citizenry he last sat in the 19th electoral term until his death in the committee for port affairs in the state of Bremen and in the constitution and rules of procedure committee as well as in the state and city deputation for economy, labor and ports. He was also the CDU parliamentary group spokesman for economics and work.

Private

Jörg Kastendiek was married, had a son and lived in Bremen- St . Magnus . He died in May 2019 at the age of 54 from complications from malignant lymphoma .
