Emil Rex

Emil Rex (born October 15, 1888 , † March 21, 1951 in Bremen ) was a Bremen politician ( CDU ) and member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Rex worked as a mechanical engineer in Bremen. He has been running Rex GmbH Werkzeugmaschinen in Bremen since 1935 .

In 1946 he was a co-founder of the CDU Bremen . As Johann Kaum's successor , he was state chairman of the CDU in Bremen from 1947 until his death. His successor in this office was then Martin-Heinrich Wilkens .

From November 1946 until his death he was a member of the first and second elected Bremen citizenship and served in deputations of the citizenship. From April 1947 he was CDU parliamentary group leader in the first elected citizenship. During this time, the CDU did not agree to the draft of the Bremen constitution , as it a. did not agree with the school article regarding biblical history lessons (Art. 32) and co-determination in the companies. The CDU became an opposition party in the citizenry.
