Frank Schildt
Frank Schildt (born October 18, 1962 in Bremerhaven ) is a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Bremen Parliament .
biography
education and profession
After obtaining the secondary school leaving certificate, he completed an apprenticeship as a draftsman at the Bremerhaven City Council from 1979 to 1982. Subsequently, Frank Schildt was employed in the building construction office in Bremen and in the office for city drainage. The activity there was only interrupted by completing military service. Since 1994 he has been a technical employee at the waste disposal company in Bremerhaven and since 1994 he has been exempted as chairman of the staff council. He also worked as a lecturer at the Economic and Social Academy of the Bremen Chamber of Employees. The employment relationship was suspended until 2011. From June 2011 again employed by the City of Bremerhaven - BIT company for information technology.
politics
In 1979 Schildt became a member of ÖTV and has been a member of ver.di since the merger in 2001 . In 1983 he joined the SPD. In 1994 he became the deputy chairman of the local SPD club in Leherheide.
From 1995 to 2015 he was a member of the Bremen Parliament (Landtag) and again from October 2017 to 2019 as a replacement for the direct candidate Uwe Schmidt, who was elected to the Bundestag . Schildt was as secretary from 2002 to 2003 a member of the board of the citizenship. He is the media policy spokesman for his parliamentary group, member of the board of the SPD parliamentary group and he is a member of the parliamentary advisory board of the regional working group Bremen / Lower Saxony. Most recently, he was represented in the committee for port matters in the state of Bremen until 2015 and is also the chairman of the committee, committee for science, media, data protection and freedom of information, works committee Performa Nord, state advisory board for sport, temporary committee to amend the state constitution, budgetary and Finance Committee (Land), Audit Committee (Land) and in the Constitutional and Internal Regulations Committee and in the State Deputation for Economy, Labor and Ports.

Other offices
Schildt has been Chairman of the Radio Council at Deutschlandradio since March 2014 and is also a member of the Finance and Economic Committee. He is chairman of the regional sports association Bremerhaven and 2nd chairman of the SFL Bremerhaven.
