Claas Rohmeyer (born May 11, 1971 in Bremen ) is a Bremen politician ( CDU ) and member of the Bremen parliament .

Family, education and work

Rohmeyer attended the old grammar school in Bremen. After graduating from high school, he studied law at the University of Bremen and is now an independent communications consultant in Bremen.

He lives in Bremen- Hemelingen .

politics

Rohmeyer joined the CDU Bremen and the Junge Union in 1989 .

From 1991 to 1999 he was a member of the advisory board at the Osterholz local office . From 1993 to 1999 he was state chairman of the Ring of Christian Democratic Students (RCDS) . In 1998 he was chairman of the Bremen district association of the Junge Union until 2000 and its state chairman from 2000 to 2006. Rohmeyer is a state board member of the Bremen CDU and was deputy chairman of the CDU district association Bremen-Stadt, currently he is chairman of the CDU district association Osterholz and is state chairman of the Evangelical Working Group (EAK) of the CDU Bremen.

Rohmeyer has been a member of Bremen's citizenship since July 9, 1999. He has been the cultural and media policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group since January 2013 and has also been the spokesman for church and religious communities since August 2019. Before that he was the social policy spokesman from July 2011 to December 2012 and before that from August 2001 to June 2011 he was the educational policy spokesman for his parliamentary group. He has been chairman of the petitions committee since the 2019 general election .
He is represented in the Committee for Science, Media, Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Petitions Committee (state and city), in the works committees of the Bremen Music School, the Bremen City Library and Bremen Adult Education Center as well as in the state and city deputation for culture.
