Sibylle Winther

Sibylle Winther (born January 2, 1945 in Münsing in Upper Bavaria ) is a Bremen politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship and state councilor in Bremen.

biography

Winther is the daughter of television journalist Fides Krause-Brewer and Ministerialrat Gerd Krause-Brewer.

education and profession

Winther attended a grammar school in Bonn and then from 1963 to 1965 the school for radio technology, which she graduated as a sound engineer. Then she attended a grammar school in Bad Neuenahr , where she passed the Abitur exam in 1966 . From 1966 to 1972 she studied law at the Universities of Bonn and Freiburg . From 1972 to 1975 she was a trainee lawyer at the Hanseatic Higher Regional Court in Bremen . After the Second State Examination, she established herself as a lawyer in 1975. From 1985 to 1995 she worked in the technical department of Radio Bremen .

politics

From 1991 to 1999, Winther was the country manager of the CDU Economic Council.

She was a member of the Bremen citizenship for the first time from 1995 to 1999. From 1999 to 2003 she was State Councilor for the Senator for Economics and Ports, Josef Hattig (CDU).

From 2003 to 2009 she was again a member of the citizenry. She became the parliamentary group spokesperson for Justice and Consumer Protection.

She was represented in the citizenship committees for matters relating to ports, for citizen participation and advisory board matters, the facilitation of popular legislation and the further development of electoral law, in the legal committee, in the judges' election committee, in the special assets committee for infrastructure, in the budget and finance committee, in the audit committee and in the electoral review court as well as in the state deputation for business and ports.

Other offices

Winther is a member of the supervisory board of the GFL Society for Regional Development. Until July 2009 she was also a member of the supervisory board of the planning and engineering company Grontmij (now SWECO ).

Private life

She is divorced and has three children.
