Stephan Schlenker
Stephan Schlenker (also Hans-Stephan Schlenker ) (born June 22, 1944 in Rottweil ) is a Bremen politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship .
Life
Schlenker did his Abitur in Hamburg and then served for a year in the German Navy .
He then studied medicine at the University of Göttingen and received his doctorate in 1968. med. This was followed by training as a pediatrician and an anesthetist . In 1984 he and 16 colleagues from the health sector (doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, pharmacists) founded a "health center" in Blumenthal-Lüssum based on the model of the Gropiusstadt health center . This idea of a community practice was criticized by the medical association and legal disputes arose, so that two years later the name “medical center” was chosen. Later attempts to work again under the name “health center” also failed. The medical center now operates as the “Zentrum Schwaneweder Straße Praxisgemeinschaft”.
He is married and has three children.
politics
Schlenker has been a member of the Greens since 1980. From 1980 to 1984 he was a councilor in the city council of Göttingen . In 1990 he was elected to the advisory board of the Bremen- Vegesack district and was also politically active in the following years. Since 2007 he was in the deputation for health of the citizenry (city).
In the 18th electoral term he was a member of the Bremen Senate from 2011 to 2015. He was represented in the Committee for Combating and Preventing Poverty and Social Divisions, Works Committee KiTa Bremen, Works Committee Workshop Bremen, Youth Welfare Committee, State Youth Welfare Committee, Petitions Committee (Land), Petitions Committee (City), Deputation for Social Affairs, Children and Youth (Land).

Schlenker is a member of the professional association of paediatricians and the vocational training committee of the Bremen Medical Association.
