Wolfgang Jägers

Wolfgang Jägers (born February 9, 1957 in Bremerhaven ) is a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament . He is a member of the Federal Executive Committee of the Working Group for Employee Issues (AfA) of the SPD.

biography

education and profession

After secondary school, Wolfgang Jäger trained as an electrician. In 1984/1985 he trained as a trade union secretary at the Dortmund Social Academy and in the industrial trade union for construction, agriculture and the environment. He then worked as a union secretary until 1988. From 1988 to 1994 he was state secretary and since 1994 has been managing director of the district association in the state of Bremen of IG Bau .

politics

Wolfgang Jägers is state and subdistrict delegate of the SPD and state chairman of the Working Group for Employee Issues (AfA) in the SPD Bremen. He is currently a member of the AfA federal board.

From 1995 to 2008 Jägers was a member of the Bremen citizenship. Due to the result of a by-election in the Bremerhaven constituency Freizeittreff Eckernfeld, Wolfgang Jägers lost his mandate to Jan Timke from the voters' association Bürger in Anger .

From February 25, 2010 to 2011, Jägers was again a member of the Bremen Citizenship as a replacement for Martin Günthner and again from 2011 to 2015. He was represented in the committee for port matters in the state of Bremen and in the “Wohnliche Stadt” foundation board as well as in the state deputation for the environment, construction, traffic, urban development and energy and the state deputation for economy, labor and ports.
He was the transport policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

Further memberships

Jägers is a member of the board of directors and a member of the general assembly of the Bremen Chamber of Employees , a member of the advisory board of the social security funds of the construction industry and a member of the administrative committee of the Bremen employment office.

He is a member of the supervisory board of Brepark and Minimax Management GmbH.
