Linda Neddermann (born March 5, 1988 in Bremen ) is a Bremen politician ( The Greens ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

education and profession

Neddermann graduated from the Free Evangelical Confession School in Bremen in 2008 . She studied from 2009 International Policy Management at the University of Bremen and moved in 2013 to the University of Bremen to political science to study.

politics

Neddermann is a member of the Bremen Greens . From 2009 to 2011 she was the spokesperson for the Green Youth Bremen .

In the 18th electoral term , she was a member of the Bremen citizenship from 2011 to 2015. There she was represented in the Works Committee for KiTa Bremen, State Advisory Board for Sport, State Youth Welfare Committee, Legal Committee and in the Judges Committee as well as in the Animal Welfare Advisory Board and in the city deputation for social affairs, children and youth and the state deputation for internal affairs and sport.

In the parliamentary group, Neddermann was responsible for the topics of animal welfare, youth policy and strategies against right-wing extremism.

As an avowed animal rights activist, Neddermann speaks out in favor of a ban on pony rides at fairs, because it is not appropriate to “let ponies run around in circles for hours”, to turn animals into objects and to convey wrong values ​​to children. The coalition partner SPD spoke out against a Federal Council initiative . The campaign gained national fame through the malice of the former FDP boss Philipp Rösler , who regularly raised it with the project.
