Paul Bödeker (born October 22, 1952 in Nordenham ) is a German local and former state politician (CDU) in Bremerhaven.

Life

Bödeker attended secondary school and completed his secondary school certificate in an evening school. As a trained car mechanic, he was a contract soldier in the German Armed Forces for eight years . There he trained as a driving instructor. He has been a self-employed driving instructor since 1982. On January 5, 2016, Bödeker was appointed treasurer in the Bremerhaven magistrate . Since October 2018 he has been a voluntary city councilor for sport, leisure and health.

Bödeker joined the CDU in 1985. Since 1985 he has been a member of the CDU district board of Bremerhaven and since 1987 a member of the state board of the CDU Bremen . He was chairman of the CDU Bremerhaven's SME Association.

From 1987 to January 2016 he was a member of the Bremerhaven city council . From 1991 he was deputy chairman and since January 5, 2016 he has been a member of the Bremerhaven magistrate. From October 1995 to June 2015 he was chairman of the CDU city council group in Bremerhaven. Since June 10, 2003 he was a member of the Bremen Parliament . Bödeker resigned from citizenship on January 4, 2016 and was appointed treasurer of the city of Bremerhaven the following day. In the 19th electoral term he was represented in the parliamentary committee for port affairs in the state of Bremen (as chairman), budget and finance committee (state) and auditing committee (state) as well as in the state deputation for economy, labor and ports.

He is chairman of the supervisory board of the Bremerhaven Clinic, a member of the supervisory board of swb (Stadtwerke) and a member of the Wespa administrative board (Weser-Elbe-Sparkasse).
