Renate Möbius

Renate Möbius (born February 7, 1952 in Berlin ; † February 7, 2013 in Bremen ) was a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Bremen parliament .

Family, education and work

After obtaining the technical diploma , Renate Möbius studied social pedagogy at the University of Applied Sciences and graduated in 1978 with a diploma in social pedagogy . Then she was a housewife until 1989. She then started working for the German Red Cross, initially on a fee basis, and from 1990 as an employee.

She has two children.

politics

Möbius had been a member of the SPD since 1979. She was a board member of the local SPD association Buntentor since 1986, and from 1990 to 1999 she was vice chairwoman. In 1994 she became a state delegate. From 1996 to 2006 she was a member of the board of the SPD sub-district Bremen-Stadt and on the state board of the SPD in Bremen .

Möbius had been a member of the advisory board at the Neustadt local office for her party since 1988 . She was chairman of the education committee and called for the establishment of a comprehensive school in the new town. In 1989/90 she was spokeswoman for the advisory board at the Neustadt local office and resigned in protest against the local office manager Klaus Rosebrock.

For the first time Möbius was briefly from June 8, 1995 to July 4, 1995 a member of the citizenry and again from June 28, 1999 to February 7, 2013 (†). She was represented in the committee for civic participation, civic engagement and advisory boards (city), budget and finance committee (state and city), petitions committee (state and city), auditing committee (state and city) and in the operating committee "Umweltbetrieb Bremen".

She was the spokeswoman for citizen participation and advisory board matters for the SPD parliamentary group.

Further memberships

  • Möbius was chairwoman of WIR-Neustadt , the economic interests ring of Bremer Neustadt . The association is committed to the economic interests of the Neustadt.
  • From 1997 she was chairwoman of the Gesundheitstreffpunkt West (GTV)
  • Since 2011 she was chairwoman of the Bremen 1921 Police Sports Club.
