Patrick Cem Öztürk (born February 5, 1986 in Bremerhaven ) is a German politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Family, education and work

Öztürk attended the Gaußschule from 1992 to 1998 and the Lloyd-Gymnasium in Bremerhaven from 1998 to 2005, where he also passed the Abitur.

From 2005 to 2008 he studied English , sports science and education at the University of Bremen and completed his studies with a Bachelor of Arts . In 2007/08 he studied education at the Hawaiʻi Pacific University in Honolulu . From 2008 to 2010 there was a postgraduate course in English, sports science and educational science at the University of Bremen with a Master of Education degree . As a trainee teacher for high schools, comprehensive schools and secondary schools, Öztürk was trained at the State Institute for Schools in Bremen from 2010 to 2012, where he graduated with the 2nd state examination in English and sport.

In addition, Öztürk worked as a teacher for English, business English, sport and German as a foreign language (DaF) at the Pedagogical Center in Bremerhaven and as a teacher for English and sport at the Blumenthal school center. He worked as a research assistant at the University of Bremen in the department for social sciences.

Öztürk is single and lives in Bremerhaven- Mitte .

politics

Öztürk has been a member of the SPD since 2005. From 2005 to 2009 he was deputy chairman of the Jusos in Bremerhaven.

From the 18th electoral term (June 2011) to 2019 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship. He was a member of the Committee for Federal and European Affairs, International Contacts and Development Cooperation (Deputy Member), Committee for Science, Media, Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Member), State Deputation for Social Affairs, Youth and Integration (Member) and the State Youth Welfare Committee.

He was the spokesman for media policy for the SPD parliamentary group.

Others

Öztürk is a member of the Workers' Welfare Association (AWO) and the Education and Science Union (GEW).
