Elias Tsartilidis (born August 19, 1978 in Salzgitter ) is a teacher, politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Family, education and work

Tsartilidis completed his Abitur at the Geschwister Scholl (GyO) school center, studied at the University of Bremen and passed the 1st state examination for teaching at public schools in 2010. He has been a student trainee since 2012. In 2014 he was appointed to the teaching staff of the city of Bremerhaven .

Tsartilidis is married and has one child. He lives in Bremerhaven - Speckenbüttel .

politics

Tsartilidis has been a member of the SPD since 1995. He was chairman of the Young Socialists ( Jusos ) in the Bremerhaven subdistrict and was chairman of the Geestemünde-Nord local association. Since June 2010 he has been deputy state chairman of the SPD Bremen . From 2002 to the end of the 2007–2011 electoral period he was a city councilor in Bremerhaven , and since March 14, 2011 chairman of the SPD city council group.

From the 18th electoral term (June 8, 2011) until 2019 he was a member of the Bremen citizenship. He worked on the Committee for Port Affairs in the State of Bremen (Member), Committee on Science, Media, Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Deputy Member), Budget and Finance Committee (State) (Deputy Member), Audit Committee (State) (Deputy Member). He was port policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.
