Dieter Reinken

Dieter Reinken , also Fritz-Dieter Reinken , (born October 27, 1952 in Rastede ) is a German trade unionist , Bremen state politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship from 2011 to 2019.

biography

Family, education and work

Reinken attended a primary school in Bremen since 1959 and graduated from school on Pestalozzistraße in Bremen in 1968 with secondary school leaving certificate. From 1968 to 1971 he completed training as a merchant in the shipping and ship brokerage trade in Bremen. He was then employed in a training company until April 1972. After completing his military service until June 1973, he worked for the Klöckner works in Bremen from September 1973 to February 1990 . Here he was a member of the works council from 1978 to 1990 .

From March 1990 he was employed by IG Metall in Bremen, initially as a union secretary. Until June 1991 he worked as interim managing director in the establishment of IG Metall in Rostock . From March 1994 he was elected 2nd authorized representative and from January 2001 elected 1st authorized representative (managing director) of IG Metall in Bremen. In November 2012, he entered the release phase of partial retirement .

Reinken is married, has two children and lives in Bremen- Findorff .

politics

Reinken has been a member of the SPD since 1995. From 2014 to 2016 he was state chairman of the SPD Bremen as successor to Andreas Bovenschulte .

Since November 2009 he has been a member of the Deputation for Economy in the Citizenship. From 2011 to 2019 he was a member of the Bremen Parliament. He was represented in the committee for port matters in the state of Bremen, budget and finance committee (state and city) and in the audit committee (city) as well as in the state and city deputation for economy, labor and ports.
He was the labor market policy spokesman for the SPD parliamentary group.

  • Reinken was a member of the supervisory board of Klöckner-Werke Bremen from 1991 to 2012, and Arcelor since 2002 .
  • Between June 2011 and October 2011 he was a member of the IG Metall board.
  • Since 2010 he has been a member of the Astrium Supervisory Board in Germany.
