Doris Hoch (born August 13, 1954 in Bremerhaven ) is a Bremen politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

education and profession

After graduating from secondary school, Doris Hoch attended the pre-sister school from 1970 to 1971. From 1971 to 1974 she trained as a nurse. She then worked as a nurse from 1974 to 1976. Between 1976 and 1979 she was the deputy ward nurse and has been the ward manager of the neurosurgical department of the Reinkenheide Central Hospital since 1979 .

politics

Hoch was a board member from 1995 to 1998 and from 1998 to 1999 board spokeswoman of the Bremerhaven district of the Greens. She has been in the Federal Women's Council of the Greens since 1999 and a member of the Presidium of the Women's Council since 2005.

From 1999 to 2015 she was a member of the Bremen Parliament (Landtag) for 16 years. She was the spokesperson for the Green Group on health and women's issues. Since 2011 she has also been a city councilor in the city council in Bremerhaven, where she has been the parliamentary group leader of the Greens since March 2014. She was represented in the Committee on Integration, Federal and European Affairs, International Contacts and Development Cooperation, the Committee on Science, Media, Data Protection and Freedom of Information and in the Committee on Equal Opportunities for Women as well as in the State Deputation for Culture and the State Deputation for Health.
