Peter Günther Erlanson (born May 3, 1959 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Life

education and profession

Erlanson attended the same high school (Eichwaldschule in Sulzbach am Taunus ) as the later Prime Minister of Hesse, Roland Koch, and competed in vain against him in an election for the student representative at his school. After graduating from high school and doing community service , he studied German , philosophy and politics in Marburg . In 1984 he moved to Bremen to work as a nurse at the Links der Weser Clinic . He was a member and later chairman of the staff council and after the privatization of the hospitals he is a member and deputy chairman of the works council . After studying part-time at the University of Bremen , he obtained a degree in psychology with a focus on industrial and organizational psychology.

As an adolescent, Erlanson had early contact with the so-called “ spontaneous scene”. He belonged to student groups (including the GBAL (Grün-Bunt-Alternative List) at the Philipps University of Marburg ), autonomous youth center movements, the anti-nuclear power movement , in the resistance against the Runway West in Frankfurt and the peace movement .

From 2007 to 2008 he was a member of the federal executive committee of the Left .

Erlanson has been a member of Bremen's citizenship since June 10, 2007. He was re-elected in 2011. From 2007 to 2011 he was parliamentary group chairman, currently the member of parliament is deputy group chairman. Erlanson is his group's spokesman for social affairs, health, culture and law.

He has represented his group in the Legal Affairs Committee since the 18th electoral term. He is also a member of the Deputations for Social Affairs, Children, Youth and Seniors and Culture.

He did not run again for the 2019 general election.

Further memberships

Since his apprenticeship he has worked in the Ötv trade union , then ver.di , among others in the Bremen district board, in a department board and in the Bremen North Lower Saxony district board. He was a training staff council and then became a works or staff council and supervisory board in his company. He is a member of attac and a member of the Greece Solidarity.
