Zahra Mohammadzadeh

Zahra Mohammadzadeh (born July 9, 1956 in Tehran ) is an Iranian-German politician ( Alliance 90 / The Greens ). She was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

Life

education and profession

Mohammadzadeh graduated from high school and then worked as a teacher in Iran from 1974 to 1976. From 1976 she first studied at the University of Tehran before moving to Germany in 1977. There she studied human biology at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Bremen . In 1990 she received her doctorate with a thesis on population genetics.

From 1985 to 1986 Mohammadzadeh worked at the Bremen Institute for Prevention Research and Social Medicine, from 1989 to 1992 she worked in the Namibia project of the Bremen Africa Archive. Then she became an employee of the German Cancer Society, where she worked on a study on the health and care situation of refugees in Bremen until 1993. In June 1993 she began to work as a research assistant at the Bremen Health Department, and she also gave lectures at the Universities of Bremen and Oldenburg. Her position rests there during her political activity.

Mohammadzadeh is single and has one child.

politics

Mohammadzadeh was a member of the citizenship from 2007 to 2015. There she was represented in the committee for integration, federal and European affairs, international contacts and development cooperation, temporary committee "Extension of the right to vote", works committee "Werkstatt Bremen", youth welfare committee, state youth welfare committee, legal committee, constitution and rules of procedure committee and on the board of the Bremen citizenship as well in the state deputation for social affairs, children and youth and the state deputation for home affairs and sport.
