Frank Willmann (born December 7, 1963 in Bremerhaven ) is a Bremen politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen , SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen Parliament .

biography

Family, education and work

Willmann attended the Bürgermeister-Smidt school center in Bremerhaven and passed his Abitur there in 1983. From 1983 to 1989 he studied Protestant theology . After completing his studies, he completed an apprenticeship as a cabinet maker in Langenhagen from 1989 to 1992 and was a works council. From 1999 onwards, he worked as an independent retailer in Bremerhaven.

He is married and has four kids.

politics

Willmann has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 2005. From 2014 to 2015 he was the spokesman for the Bremerhaven district association.

From the election in 2007 to 2015 he was a member of the Bremen Parliament (Landtag). For his group he was spokesman for ports, fisheries, shipping and labor market policy. He was represented in the Committee for Port Affairs in the State of Bremen, Works Committee Performa North, Budget and Finance Committee (State), Temporary Committee on Amendment of the State Constitution, Petitions Committee (State), Legal Committee and in the Constitutional and Rules Committee as well as in the State Deputation for Economy, work and ports.

Willmann resigned from and joined the SPD in March 2016 in the dispute over the planned construction of the Offshore Terminal Bremerhaven at Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen.
