Cindi Tuncel (born January 2, 1977 in Mardin , Turkey ) is a Bremen politician ( Die Linke ) and a member of the Bremen citizenship .

biography

Tuncel was born in Turkey. In 1985 his family had to flee to West Germany because they were persecuted as members of the Yazidi minority. He grew up with his nine siblings, parents and grandparents in Bremen- Hemelingen . He is married, has four children and lives in Bremen- Tenever .

education and profession

During his school days, he volunteered in various associations and initiatives for other people, especially for people with a migration background. He completed a degree in social work. He was then a family helper (SPFH) for five years . He is currently working for the Bremen State Sports Association as the head of the project against violence, intolerance and racism.

Until 2007 he was the trainer and chairman of SV Mardin.

politics

Tuncel has been a member of the PDS or the Left since 2005. From 2007 to 2011 he was a member of the advisory board of the Bremen- Osterholz district .

He has been a member of Bremen's citizenship since June 8, 2011, in the 18th electoral term . He was elected vice-chairman of his party. Tuncel is his group's spokesman for: children, youth, migration, sport, peace policy. Tuncel is a member of the Bremen Citizenship Board (with guest status).

Since the 18th electoral term he has represented his parliamentary group in the committees: Integration, Federal and European Affairs, International Contacts and Development Cooperation, (Works Committee) KiTa Bremen, (Works Committee) Bremen City Library and Bremen Adult Education Center , youth welfare, state youth welfare.

The MP is also a member of the deputations for social affairs, children, youth and senior citizens (urban), internal affairs and sport (urban). In 2015 he became a member of the board of the citizenship.
