Rainer Bensch (born September 18, 1964 in Bremen ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and member of the Bremen Parliament .

education and profession

Bensch graduated from high school up to high school. He was a temporary soldier from 1984 to 1996 and worked as an instructor in the field of NCO training. Since 1996 he has been employed by the Bremer Heimpflege, where he works as a nursing department manager and qualified geriatric nurse . Since exercising his parliamentary mandate, he has been working part-time with the care and support of multiple sclerosis sufferers. From 2005 to 2009 he attended a part-time distance learning course in health sciences and nursing management at the Fernhochschule Hamburg , which he completed with the academic degree of Diplom-Pflegewirt (FH) . In addition to his work in inpatient care, he works as a freelance consultant and lecturer.

Bensch is married and has two children. He lives in Bremen - Blumenthal .

politics

In 1991 Bensch joined the CDU and in 1999 the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA). Since February 2013 he has been chairman of the CDU district association Bremen-Nord. Member of the CDU state executive committee in Bremen. From 2002 to 2013 he was a member of the federal board of the CDU social committees (CDA).

In July 2005, Bensch joined the Bremen parliament for Jörg Jäger, a member of the Bremen Parliament who had resigned, and after the CDU left the government in June 2007, he left for a member of the Senate.
In January 2010 he moved up for the resigned MP Hartmut Perschau in the citizenry.

He was re-elected to the citizenry in the 18th to 20th electoral period from 2011 onwards under the right to vote.
Within the CDU parliamentary group, he heads the social group working group, which deals with the political fields of health, consumer protection, social affairs, youth, integration and equality. Bensch is currently represented in the budget and finance committee (state and city), auditing committee (city) and in the controlling committee (city) as well as in the state and city deputation for health. For the CDU parliamentary group in the Bremen citizenship, Rainer Bensch is the spokesman for health and hospitals. He is also a member of the visiting commission under the PsychKG, which visits and controls the psychiatric facilities without prior notice. He is a member of the State Psychiatry Committee of the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. Chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the parliamentary investigation committee on hospital germs (November 2011 to January 2013). Chairman of the CDU parliamentary group in the parliamentary committee of inquiry for the new hospital building (July 2014 to March 2015). Rainer Bensch is a member of numerous organizations and associations in the pre-political area.
