Sülmez Dogan (born September 11, 1975 in Bremerhaven ) is a Bremen politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ) and a member of Bremerhaven's citizenship .

Family, education and work

Dogan was born into a guest worker family from Turkey and grew up in Bremerhaven. She put her high school in 1994 in Bremerhaven on Lloyd High School, and then studied at the Braunschweig Technical University political science , modern history and sociology and in Bremen law . After successfully completing the 1st state examination in Bremen, she completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Celle and passed her 2nd state examination there in 2006. She has been a lawyer in Bremerhaven since 2007 .

Dogan is married and has three children.

politics

Dogan was a city ​​councilor in Bremerhaven from 2007 to 2011 , and from 2008 to 2011 she was parliamentary group leader. There she mainly dealt with the areas of youth, women, family and education and sat on the corresponding committees in these areas. In the 18th electoral term she has been a member of the Bremen Parliament (Landtag) since June 8, 2011. She is represented in the Committee for Combating and Preventing Poverty and Social Divisions, Works Committee Performa Nord, Budget and Finance Committee (Land), Temporary Committee for Amendment of the State Constitution, Legal Committee, Judges Committee and in the Election Supervision Court as well as in the State Deputation for Education. She is the parliamentary group's spokesperson for educational policy and legal policy.
In 2015 she was elected Vice-President of the Citizenship.

Dogan is deputy chairwoman of the Tailwind Association , which supports poorer children in the Bremerhaven-Lehe district .
