Reiner Holsten

Reiner Holsten (born June 22, 1952 in Nartum ) is a Bremen politician ( SPD ) and was a member of the Bremen citizenship .

education and profession

Holsten is a teacher. Due to the law on parliament (incompatibility regulation), his employment relationship was suspended until this regulation was changed in 2011 for the duration of his membership in the citizenry. Since then he has been part-time with the Senator for Education and Science, responsible for European schools.

politics

From 2009 to 2015 Holsten was a member of the parliament. He stood up for Carsten Sieling , who left because of his Bundestag mandate, and was re-elected in 2011. He was represented in the committee for integration, federal and European affairs, international contacts and development cooperation, committee for science, media, data protection and freedom of information, works committee "Musikschule Bremen", petitions committee (state and city) and in the legal committee as well as in the city deputation for economy , Work and ports.

From March 3, 2009 to March 24, 2014, Holsten was chairman of the SPD sub-district Bremen-Nord. From 2008 to 2011 he was secretary in the SPD state executive committee in Bremen. Since 2014 he has been chairman of the SPD local association in Burgdamm.

Holsten is also a member of the Bremen-North Economic and Structural Council (WIR). He is a sustaining member of the Bremen Wool Combing Museum.
