Nartum is a Lower Saxon village in the Rotenburg (Wümme) district .

Location and description

The place is 49 km from Bremen and 80 km from Hamburg . The motorway junction Bockel of A 1 is three kilometers away; From there Nartum can be reached via the B 71 and K 112. The long-distance cycle route Hamburg – Bremen runs through Nartum .

Nartum belongs to the municipality Gyhum , Samtgemeinde Zeven , and has 750 inhabitants. The best-known citizen was Walter Kempowski , who worked as a teacher at the primary school in Nartum from 1965 to 1975 . The Kempowski Foundation Haus Kreienhoop is based in Nartum . On March 1, 1974, Nartum was incorporated into the Gyhum community.

Nartum motor mill

The Hofmühle, built in 1900, was moved in 2005 from Hof ​​Eckhof to its current location "Am Brink". The original grinding technology was adopted and repaired ready for use. Giant cellar
