Bockel is a district of the small town of Gyhum in Lower Saxony . Bockel is located about three kilometers southwest of the core city. Bockel is located directly on Bundesstrasse 71 . However, the district has its own motorway connection. Bockel is connected to the A1 motorway . There is a truck stop not far from the motorway . There is an Aral and Jet petrol station as well as a McDonald’s , Subway and KFC branch.

On March 1, 1974, Bockel was incorporated into the Gyhum community.
