Lüskow Church

The Lüskow Church is a 14th century church building in the Lüskow district of the Butzow community .

The rectangular, plastered building, which is essentially late medieval, was built from field stone and brick . In the west, a steeply drawn-in church tower with a portal in a high round-arched niche was built in 1709 . Its upper part is structured by panels, above which there is a truss and a pyramid roof. In 1931 the church was extended by an axis to the east and the windows were changed.

The interior of the flat-roofed interior includes a crucifix from around 1500 as well as the stalls and the gallery under which the winter church , which dates from the 18th century, is set up. The church has an organ . The only bell dates from 1878. The altar was probably made in the 17th century, as was the pulpit with winding pillars with masks at the entrance, paintings of the evangelists can be seen in the parapet panels.

The church in Lüskow belongs to the Evangelical parish of Teterin-Lüskow in the Pasewalk provost in the Pomeranian Evangelical Church District of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Northern Germany . Until 2012 she belonged to the Greifswald parish of the Pomeranian Evangelical Church .
