The citizens' initiative “Die neue Mitte” has organized regular events on Arnold-Decker-Platz since it was founded. In addition, it regularly pursues efforts to further develop the course. The following ideas have been implemented since 2006:

  • A public bookcase in the shape of a typical red English telephone booth. Here you can borrow, hand in and exchange books independently and free of charge.
  • A Boulodrome , which is intended to liven up the often unused space. Boule tournaments take place here regularly.
  • A sensual couch. This was inaugurated in June 2017.
