Park Jin-kyu (born December 18, 1991 ) is a South Korean ice hockey player who has been under contract with Anyang Halla again since 2018 .

Career

Park Jin-kyu began his career as a hockey player on the Joondong High School team . He later played for the Korea University team . In 2014 he moved to Anyang Halla in the Asia League Ice Hockey . After the final series was lost to the Tōhoku Free Blades from Japan in 2015 , he and his team won the Asia League in 2016 when the Russian tram was defeated by HK Sakhalin with a 3-2 winning streak in the playoff finals . He then moved to Daemyung Sangmu for two years before returning to Anyang Halla in 2018

International

For South Korea, Park Jin-kyu already took part in the U-18 World Cup 2009 in Division II when the promotion to Division I was successful.

Despite this success, he was considered only eight years later internationally when he with the South Korean national team at the Asian Winter Games in 2017 took part and place behind Kazakhstan finished. In the same year he also took part in the World Cup of Division I for the first time and rose to the top division for the first time with the East Asians. In 2018 he then took part in the World Cup in the top division as well as in the Olympic Winter Games in his own country.
