Arnold Schönberg Prize
The Arnold Schönberg Prize is an international music prize . Since 2001, on the initiative of Kent Nagano , it has been awarded as a joint prize by the German Symphony Orchestra Berlin , of which Nagano was artistic director at the time, the Deutschlandradio Kultur and the Arnold Schönberg Center in Vienna at irregular intervals. The namesake is the Austrian composer Arnold Schönberg . The award is endowed with 12,500 euros. The Arnold Schönberg Prize is awarded for an artistic life's work that continues Schönberg's claim.
