Arnt Volkenborn

Arnt Volkenborn (born December 11, 1942 in Rheydt ) is a German mathematician .

Volkenborn received his doctorate in 1971 at the University of Cologne (A p-adic integral and its applications: the general p-adic Bernoulli numbers; special p-adic functions). He has been Scientific Councilor and Professor since 1976 and Professor of Mathematics Didactics at the University of Cologne since 1980.

In his dissertation he introduced a p-adic integral ( Volkenborn integral ).
