Goslar district
The Goslar district was an administrative unit in the Oker department in the Kingdom of Westphalia from 1807 to 1813 , which was formed by the Royal Decree of December 24, 1807.

The district of Goslar included, apart from the former imperial city of Goslar, the southern areas of the Prussian principality of Hildesheim and the parts of Braunschweig that did not come to the district of Einbeck in the Harz department .
The district bordered the Braunschweig district to the north , the Saale department to the east along the Ecker river , the Hildesheim district to the west and the Leine and Harz departments to the south .
In the district of 49,524 people lived 18.73 mi² . The population grew to 52,996 people by 1811.
organization
The district was headed by a sub-prefect. The sub-prefect of the Goslar district was called Kerl and officiated first with his son as secretary, later with a Mr. von Bötticher. The district council included Messrs. Bärtling, Fahrenholz, von König, von Uslar and von Weichs.
Peace courts were in Goslar (two peace courts), Vienenburg, Schladen, Harzburg, Liebenburg, Salzgitter, Lutter, Holle, Bockenem and in Lamspringe.
