Art Valais Wallis

Art Valais Wallis is a cultural project in the canton of Valais .

The program is carried out by the art association of the same name, founded in 2019 and based in Sion, under the direction of Lausanne street art artist Issam Rezgui (* 1983) , who has been active in Valais for twenty years, and Gregory Pages. The association realizes large-format works of the genre art in buildings throughout the canton of Valais. In fifty municipalities from Goms to Lake Geneva , he is planning new works of contemporary art in collaboration with the participating artists and the municipal authorities . The group of works ultimately forms an artistic theme trail through the entire canton.

The project is supported by the canton of Wallis, the Valais Wallis / Promotion organization and Culture Valais .

The first work of the art project was a mural by the artist "Jasm 1" (stage name of Issam Rezgui) on the facade of the Charles Clos Olsommer museum in Veyras in the Sierre district in spring 2020 . Other murals in the series can be found on the building of the Association sierroise de loisirs et culture in Siders and in Fully .
