Art Walker

Art Walker (actually Arthur Franklin Walker, Jr .; born September 9, 1941 in Columbus , Georgia ) is a former American triple jumper .

At the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City, he was fourth with a wind-assisted 17.12 m and was ten centimeters behind the bronze medalist Giuseppe Gentile .

In 1972 he retired from qualifying at the Olympic Games in Munich .

In 1965, 1966 and 1968 he was US champion and in 1967 US indoor champion. He set his personal best of 16.81 m on June 30, 1968 in Los Angeles .
