Artemis JR Rover

The Artemis JR Rover is a prototype of a moon rover from the Canadian space company Neptec . The four-wheeled vehicle works fully autonomously and can also be controlled remotely.

The rover has two travel motors, each of which drives one side with two wheels and has two travel speeds. The rover weighs 270 kg without scientific instruments. It can hold scientific instruments up to a weight of 125 kg and is designed so that it can be equipped for a wide range of tasks. It has video cameras installed on a mast. The rover can also navigate itself using sensors . It measures 1.5 meters in length and 1.6 meters in width. The main technical part of the rover is at a height of 30 cm from the ground, so that smaller lunar rocks can be driven over without any problems. The wheels have a diameter of 60 cm each.
