Arteriography

As arteriography is radiological representation of arterial blood vessels (arterial angiography ), respectively.

Typically, over the femoral artery , and occasionally over the brachial artery in the Seldinger technique introduced a catheter into the arterial system and to the examination region advanced. By injecting a water-soluble contrast agent , arteries and their outlets can be displayed and examined in the form of angiograms ; If necessary, an angioplasty or stent angioplasty can be connected in order to remedy constrictions of the vessel lumen therapeutically .

Common indications for an arteriography are images of the renal arteries , the carotid arteries , the aorta or the coronary vessels .
