Artery

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Artery was a British post-punk band from Sheffield formed in 1979. The line-up was Toyce Ashley (vocals, guitar), Neil McKenzie (guitar), Mark Gouldthorpe (guitar) and Garry Wilson (drums). They originally called themselves "The But" but quickly decided to change their name. After a few changes in line-up and a few records, the band broke up in 1985. In 2006 a compilation of her songs was released on CD.
