Arthur Fischer (painter)
Arthur Fischer (born January 28, 1872 in Berlin ; † September 8, 1948 there ) was a German painter.
Life
Fischer ran a studio with 20 to 30 employees, in which large-scale portraits were made from photographic templates. He was best known for the paintings of Wilhelm II commissioned by the imperial court , which were popularized during the First World War in the German Empire through postcards and large-format color prints. Its exhibition rooms in the Kaisergalerie were among the visitor attractions.
