Arthur Heina

Arthur Heina (born February 22, 1915 in Gladbeck ; † February 27, 1986 in Königswinter ) was a German swimmer and Olympic participant. He started for SV Gladbeck in 1913 and for Poseidon Recklinghausen.

He won the German championship in the 200 m chest twice - in 1935 and 1939 .

He started on the same route at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin . He qualified in 2: 48.5 minutes for the semifinals, in which he was able to improve to 2: 47.3 minutes and finished 8th. His bad luck was that only the best 7 made it to the final.

In later years Heina worked as a style judge.
